Ragi DosaPreparation Time: 15 Mins Cooking Time: 15 Mins Serves: 10 Ingredients 1 Cup Aashirvaad Ragi Flour, Buttermilk (½ Cup Curd & 1 ½ Cup Water), 1 Cup Soaked Yellow Moong Dal, ½ Cup Rice Flour, 2 Tbsp Coriander, Finely Chopped, Aashirvaad Salt To Taste For Tempering 2 Tsp Oil, ½ Tsp Mustard Seeds, A Pinch Of Asafoetida (Hing), 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds, 3-4 Curry Leaves Other Ingredients 3 Tbsp Oil For Cooking Method 1. To make buttermilk mix ½ curd and 1 ½ water in a bowl, whisk and keep aside. 2. Grind moong dal and make a fine paste. 3. Take a bowl and add all the ingredients along with buttermilk and enough water to make a batter of pouring consistency. For Tempering: Heat oil and add all the tempering ingredients. Add the tempering to the batter and mix well. How To Proceed: Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly. Pour a ladleful of batter on it and spread into a 5” circle. Cook on both sides till golden brown. Serve hot with the chutney with your choice. |
Beetroot DhoklaPreparation Time: 5 Mins Cooking Time: 20 Mins Makes: 20 Ingredients For Dhokla ½ Cup Aashirvaad Ragi Flour, ½ Cup Suji/Rava (Semolina), ½ Cup Curd, 2 Tbsp Grated Beetroot, 2 Tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander, 1 Tsp Green Chilli Finely Chopped, 1 Tsp Finely Chopped Ginger, ½ Tsp Aashirvaad Jeera Powder Roasted, ¼ Tsp Hing Powder, 1 Tsp Eno Fruit Salt, Oil For The Tempering 8 To 10 Curry Leaves, 1 Tsp Black Mustard Seeds, ½ Tsp Cumin Seeds, 2 Tsp Sugar, 2 Tbsp Oil, Aashirvaad Salt Method 1. Combine all the ingredients for dhokla except fruit salt. Make a batter of dropping consistency. 2. Add fruit salt & ¼ cup water just before steaming. When the bubbles form mix gently. 3. Pour the batter into a 200 mm. (8”) diameter thali & shake the thali clockwise to spread the batter in an even layer. 4. Steam in a steamer for 10 to 12 mins or till the dhoklas are cooked. Keep aside to cool for 3 to 4 mins & cut into diamond-shaped equal-sized pieces and serve immediately. |
UpmaPreparation Time: 10 Mins Cooking Time: 15 Mins Serves: 4 Ingredients 1/3 Cup Aashirvaad Ragi Flour, ½ Tsp Mustard Seeds , 4-5 Curry Leaves, 1-2 Green Chilies, Slit, 1 Tsp Urad Dal, 1 Onion, Finely Chopped, 1 Tsp Ginger, Finely Chopped, ½ Tsp Aashirvaad Turmeric Powder, ½ Tsp Aashirvaad Chilli Powder, ½ Tsp Sambar Powder, 1-2 Tbsp Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped, 2 Tbsp Oil, Aashirvaad Salt As Per Taste Method 1. Dry roast the Aashirvaad Ragi Flour till you start getting a nice aroma. Keep it aside. 2. Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds and allow it to splutter. 3. Add the curry leaves, green chillies, and urad dal. Saute for a few seconds. Add the onion and ginger and fry till light brown. 4. Add the roasted ragi flour, Aashirvaad salt, Aashirvaad turmeric powder, Aashirvaad chilli powder and sambar powder. Mix well and add 1 cup of water. 5. Stir continuously till it becomes thick on medium flame. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves. |
